Wendell Dietz Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Wendell was born April 3, 1933, in Nashua, Iowa, the son of Alvin G. and Eleanor (White) Dietz. He graduated from Nashua High School and went on to serve his Country in the United States Army. On December 30, 1956, he was united in marriage to Anneliese Ohrlein at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He was employed as a machinist at Viking Pump in Cedar Falls from January 1956-February 1996. Wendell is survived by his sons, Herb W. of Cedar Falls and Don E. (Lynette) and Greg (fianc?e, Cathie), all of Waterloo; daughter, Wendy A. (Harold) Runkle of Janesville; grandchildren, Heidi Bellos, Casey Dietz, Zacary Dietz, Cody Dietz, Tyler Dietz, Noah Dietz, Christine Young and Olivia Runkle; great grandchildren, Blake and Brook Bellos; brothers, Robert (Marlene) of Hudson, Eldon (JoAnn) of Tipton, Gene of Nashua and Dean (Jeanie) of Dumont; sisters, Florence Hatzky and Lucille Dorwin, both of Cedar Falls and Shirley Diesburg of Nashua; and sister-in-law, Bernice Dietz of Aredale. Wendell died Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth and Wayne and sisters, Lois Dietz and Kathleen Key.
